Types of Fireplaces
There are many types of fireplaces that vary in design, functions, different styles, different fuelling options and various materials. It's important to choose a fireplace that suits your individual outdoor living space including; the type of existing flooring where the fireplace will sit, or if you prefer to have it featured in a wall space or a free standing fireplace design. Another extremely important consideration is the safety aspects especially if you have toddlers, therefore an open fireplace would probably not be the best option. The main type of materials that fireplaces are produced from these days is made from different types of metal materials but the main metal is cast iron. There are advantages and disadvantages to cast iron metal fireplaces; one advantage is cast iron will last much longer, some disadvantages are; the external face of the fireplace can get very hot and cast iron does not provide the traditional look of fireplaces such as clay and brick. For further advice as to which fireplace to choose to suit personal requirements, this is where our friendly and helpful staff can explain in detail and help you select the ultimate fireplace.

Gas Burning Outdoor Fireplace
Gas burning outdoor fireplaces are a popular outdoor heating option for various types of applications and settings. They are very similar to indoor gas heating fireplaces. There are some good reasons for choosing this type of outdoor heating with the main benefits being; they provide a safer environment, no sparks to worry about, they do not create smoke like open fireplaces, you can control the heat by turning heat up or down, they can be instantly turned on for quick warmth and just as quickly turned off. The disadvantage to gas burning outdoor fireplaces is gas lines must be brought close to the location and if you do not have gas at all, you will have to hire a professional to install gas lines. We have some wonderful outdoor fireplaces on show here at Creekside Nurseries and Hardscape, so for your entire outdoor fireplace enquiries talk to us first and you will glad you did.

You Must Check With Local Codes First
Before you even start shopping around for an outdoor fireplace, you must check your local codes as they are not allowed in all places. Once you have found out this information you must also check and find out if there are any limitation on the size, the style and any specific fuelling. Some of the more common codes include; an outdoor fireplace must be built a certain distance away from the houses in the vicinity and also a certain distance from neighboring properties. Once you have all of this information, bring it all with you and we will help you choose the perfect outdoor fireplaces that coincide with your local code requirements.
